Sandtex is an exterior masonry paint which has been manufactured in the uk for more than 60 years. It is our preferred product along with Dulux. Sandtex once applied is rainproof in around an hour. And covers brickwork, roughcast render, pebbledash as well as smooth render. It is also breathable so ideal on older properties which can suffer with dampness and may have lime mortar joints and lime render. Once the job is completed Sandtex will help prevent unwanted damp issues entering the property through old or unpainted render. Every house or bungalow is different in its condition and position regarding the likelihood for damp issues. But you can expect as much as 15 years coverage before repainting your property using Sandtex. But it is Recommended to make sure the house paint is in sound condition and repaint as required. K Render although a very good product and a popular choice on new builds, renovations and extensions. Can with the right conditions become unsightly and make your property or extension look tired with dark water marks and even algae stains.
This is due to the make up of K Render and can become an issue if your property is in a shaded area or were their is damp. Their are trade paints that we can use to give the K Render a bright crisp look again. The paint comes in a wide range of colours and is breathable which is very important with K Render.
